Backpack and fishing box
The choice of a backpack or box should be approached with special responsibility. If your choice fell on a backpack, then it should be not only roomy, but also waterproof. Fishing boxes have two undeniable advantages – they are very convenient when carrying gear and can serve as stools. True, in recent times light boxes made of plastic and polystyrene have proven themselves well, but they are much higher than the usual metal ones. In Soviet times, when a shortage existed on almost all consumer goods, fishing boxes were made independently from freezers extracted from broken refrigerators. And they were no worse than modern.

Inside the tents made of lightweight materials, you can not only forget about the cold outside, but also comfortably fish the fish by setting it directly on the ice.

Peshne is one of the indispensable attributes of winter fishing for several centuries. It is not only convenient when carrying, but it is simply necessary for every angler at the beginning and at the end of winter, when the ice is thin and can crack at any moment. With a sandwalk, they knock the ice shell in front of themselves, testing it for strength. At the slightest suspicion, you must go back and look for another place to catch. If you still failed under the ice, then the sand can be positioned horizontally relative to the formed polynya and try to get out of the water with it.
A peshne should always be sharply sharpened, otherwise punching the hole can turn into real anguish, and loud strikes on the ice will surely scare all the fish in the area. The pitch represents a thick steel rod, to the end of which a wide piercing part is welded. The rod is put on a wooden handle with a loop of a rope at the very top, which is worn on the arm so that the sandstone does not slip out and does not go to the bottom of the reservoir. Some fishermen make ice pick themselves from a thick rod of heavy reinforcement. The pitch can be equipped with two tips – a semicircular spatula with sharpened edges and a chisel.
Ice screws are an indispensable thing for fast drilling holes. It consists of a rod, a crank and a drill. Scoop
Every angler who has forgotten the scoop at home faces a problem that can ruin his whole fishing. The function of the scoop is to free the hole from crushed ice and periodically dispose of a thin ice shell formed on the surface of the water.
Depth gauge
As you might guess from the name, the depth gauge is used to measure the depth in the reservoir. It is a load of lead or a large iron nut, which is tied to the end of a thick fishing line. Then on the line through each meter fix the label. It is best to apply them with waterproof oil paint. Often, instead of fishing line, which gets confused, cuts hands and constantly seeks to slip out of frozen fingers, they use a nylon cord impregnated with drying oil.
Manger
The function of the feeder is to deliver to the bottom of the reservoir the required amount of bait that can attract fish to the place of fishing. It is usually made in the form of a cone with a folding bottom, which is attached to the base with a hook. When colliding with the bottom, or just with vigorous shaking, the wire hook flies out, the bottom opens, and the contents are poured out.
Bagorek
For the rearing of especially large fish it is always better to have on hand a small shoe that fits easily in a fishing box. The simplest bagore consists of a handle, bamboo or plastic, 40-50 centimeters long, and a sharp steel hook with a diameter of 5-7 millimeters, a length of 250-300 millimeters and a bend width of 100 millimeters. Some anglers make the handle of a stick on corkwood so that it will not drown when released into water.
Unhooked
To unhook the hook, mormyshku, balancer, lure, and so on from snags or algae, located at the bottom of the reservoir, you need an unhook. Most often, it is a spiral of lead wire with a thick fishing line or cord tied to it. When the hook is hooked, the helix is “wound” on the fishing line of the rod and lowered along it down to the problematic place.
